Monday Morning Star Count

Monday! Monday! Monday!
Where did the weekend go?
It was a beautiful autumn weekend here on Long Island.

I have 5 new stars to share which bring my total of  60 degree stars
for my Slow and Steady quilt to 14.

I am using a jelly roll by Tula Pink for Free Spirit called Slow and Steady.
Aren't my 1 inch hexies cutes?
I am using the end of the leftover jelly roll strips to make hexies for my 1 inch hexi scrappy quilt.
I will share a picture in a future post.

Let's keep stitching our stars and showing our progress with hashtags #60degreediamondSAL or #mondaymorningstarcount or both!

Have a great stitching week!

Monday Morning Star Count

Happy, Happy, Happy Monday!

I am here to share my star count for this week.

I have 5 stars to add to EEP Quilt #5 .

I am just loving the fabric. The stars are just so pretty.

I am using Slow and Steady (which is a good name for a EPP quilt) by Tula Pink for Free Spirit.

This means that EPPQuilt #5 now has a name, "Slow and Steady" quilt.

Here are all my stars for "Slow and Steady" so far.....

I would love to see your progress on your EPP Quilts.

Please stitch along and use the hash tags #MondayMorningStarCount and/or #60degreediamondQAL.

Happy stitching!

Wednesday Morning

I finished stitching the six little flowers!

And I have decided to make six more little flowers for the backs. (I told you they were addictive!)
I found an Andover charm pack of assorted solid colors in my stash to use for the other six flowers.

It is really fun finding all these goodies in my stash that I had totally forgotten about.

I have been trying to blogger more too, so I thank you very much for visiting.

Wednesday Morning

I finished three out of the six little hexi flowers I found in my stash. These are so cute, quick, a little project before I head off to my day job on Wednesday mornings. I am thinking of making them into pin cushions or I may just keep on making them. They are very addictive! And relaxing to stitch!
And I do have a lot of scraps!

                                                                  Thank you for visiting.
Happy Stitching!

Monday Morning Star Count 7/14

Since I finished all the EPP I am going to do for now on my Tula Pink pillow, (Long story short, my sewing machines are not set up right now and I don't really know when they are going to be, so the quilting part of the Tula Pink pillow just needs to be put on hold for awhile)  So I decided to start a new EPP project. Why not?

I picked up these 2 Moda Grant Park charm packs from the Eastern Long Island Quilt show this past June. I am basting them into 4 inch hexies with plans of making them into a table runner.

I have 6 down and 34 more to go.

I am linking up with Jessica from Life Under Quilts for Monday Morning Star Counts!

You should also check out all the other EPP projects being linked up to Life Under Quilts!

Thank you for visiting!

Monday Morning Star Count 7/7

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I finished my Tula Pink 1 inch hexies piece. It is 10 hexies by 10 hexies.

I am going to quilt this piece and than make it into a pillow.

This is the fabric I plan on using for the back.

42 Hexies

Last week I basted 42 one inch hexies from a Avalon by Joanna Figueroa, Fig Tree & Co,
for Moda Mini charm pack. I started sewing them together, not really sure where I was going with them.....

My daughter asked me for a mug rug for her desk....so I guess a mug rug it is.

I am linking up with Jessica over at Life under Quilts. (which I have wanted to do since she started her Monday Morning Star Count....it only took me 5 weeks...LOL!)

EPP

I decided that I need a project that was portable. A project that I could take with me to where ever I needed to go,  something I could do in front of the TV while I keep my husband company, so I decided to try EPP (English Paper Piecing). And these are my first stars....

What do you think? I don't know if these stars will go together, we will have to wait and see.

Keep quilting!
