I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I can't believe I have not posted since August, sometimes life just gets away from us.

Sunday Stitching
I am enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon relaxing and working on my Sashiko piece.
I am making some progress and I am about a third of the way done.
It is hard to see the progress in my picture but it is the darker white lines that are done.
I also stitched this cute little owl cross stitch kit. It was a free gift from
the June 2014 Cross Stitcher magazine.
I am going to make it into a birthday card for my niece.
My niece's birthday is in September and she is a big fan of owls.

Wednesday Morning
And I have decided to make six more little flowers for the backs. (I told you they were addictive!)
I found an Andover charm pack of assorted solid colors in my stash to use for the other six flowers.
It is really fun finding all these goodies in my stash that I had totally forgotten about.

Wednesday Morning
I finished three out of the six little hexi flowers I found in my stash. These are so cute, quick, a little project before I head off to my day job on Wednesday mornings. I am thinking of making them into pin cushions or I may just keep on making them. They are very addictive! And relaxing to stitch!
And I do have a lot of scraps!
Happy Stitching!

Monday Morning Star Count 7/14
Since I finished all the EPP I am going to do for now on my Tula Pink pillow, (Long story short, my sewing machines are not set up right now and I don't really know when they are going to be, so the quilting part of the Tula Pink pillow just needs to be put on hold for awhile) So I decided to start a new EPP project. Why not?
I picked up these 2 Moda Grant Park charm packs from the Eastern Long Island Quilt show this past June. I am basting them into 4 inch hexies with plans of making them into a table runner.
I have 6 down and 34 more to go.
I am linking up with Jessica from Life Under Quilts for Monday Morning Star Counts!

Sunday Stitching
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. As I mentioned in my last post, I am attempting to clean my sewing area (aka my dining room). I keep on getting distracted with some great things I am finding that I have forgotten about like this Sashiko piece.
I picked this up at a Quilt show back in 2011!
Sashiko is a 350 year old Japanese hand needlework technique using a thick cotton thread to create a geometric pattern against a solid background fabric.
I am going to make this my Sunday Stitching project and will post updates on Sundays.
It will make a nice wall hanger.
Happy Stitching!

Wednesday Morning
While I was attempting to organize my sewing area (aka dining room). I found these cute English Paper Pieces kits from Paper Pieces. I was trying to remember where I pick them up from....I either got them from a Quilt Show or from a lecture/truck show given by Jessica's from Life Under Quilts.
On Wednesday, I work the late shift so before heading off to work, I was able to baste six 1/2 inch hexies. I thinking these would make cute pin cushions.
I found 6 of these kits.

Yesterday = Playtime
Yesterday, I have some excellent choices as to how I could spend my day. I could have gone to the NYMOD meeting or to Lazy Daisy Stitch shop (for more cross stitch stash) or just stay home...
I decided to stay home and play.
And it was fun!
I cut a stack of squares for my EPP quilt.

Diamonds in the Sky
Happy New Year!
I am linking up with Jessica at Life Under Quilts Monday Morning Star Count 2014, since I would really like to make some progress on my Diamonds in the Sky quilt.
I pulled out my Diamonds in the Sky quilt and......
I still need to EEP 684 diamonds, (which will make 114 stars) and 304 hexagons.
So far I have 3 stars and 4 hexagons done!
You think I have a long way to go!!!!
